I took this shot a few months back at the Busker’s Festival in Belgrave. I posted the shots on Facebook and over those months quite a few friends have found this particular shot and commented on it.
Most photographers will tell you that luck has a bit to do with any good shot.
This little bloke held this pose for several minutes while I fumbled to get my camera to wake from it’s slumber. I thought I was done for the day and then this opportunity presented itself.
You can tell from the shot that the little boy is not looking at me. He wasn’t doing me a favour by holding this pose, nor was he mugging for the camera,it’s much cooler than that.
He just liked the way the world looked from this position!
Thank you. I found it interesting that it came along when I thought that the day had given all it had to give. I guess there is a lesson in there somewhere. Opportunities (in my life) often come along when I’m focused on something else. I think John Lennon said it best, “Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans.”
I watched the group of young people that included this young bloke, for several minutes before I got this shot. There was a lot of activity in the group and on the street but this little bloke was not fazed a bit. He was staying close but he was doing his thing. The little girl (very cute) was getting all the attention so he was able to go about his business without being interrupted.
Thank you for taking the time to comment.

so cute..the world as I must see
its upside down
a bit like a clown
and always people frown
I know ..its not me
I am sure what I want
I remain happy for no reasons
I laugh more than I cry
that too for a solid reason
when I grow up..I will teach
the art of living and how to please 🙂
Congratulations! Very well captured, it has all it requires, it opens my heart, make me smile and think.. 🙂 🙂 Your humourus way of reflecting life is a gift to us all. I’m so happy to be here! Do you know what? This is one of the very rare blogs that make me feel good. Takk skal du ha! 🙂

I laughed out loud when I saw this. The unique view of the world as seen by a child brings delight and lightness to my heart.

I can still do this, it’s just that I pass out for several hours and wake up wearing someone else’s clothes. Or did I dream that?

Great shot! Would that we might all find such flexibility in our worldly perspective!

Flexibility seems to be a bit of a theme in these comments.
Thank you for the kind words and let’s hope for more flexibility both in body and mind.

How does one reply to such an interesting observation?
‘When I grow up’.
You sound very grown up to me.

Favorite postion of my 1 year old. I guess our world seems off to them and they try to right it by making it go upside-down…
