They grow them big around here.
There are several of them on my land as well. They grow along creeks and live to be very old. They grow new fronds each year which makes them and inch taller than the previous year. We have three which are taller than our house! It is quite hard to keep these old timers alive as they are the top layer and without tall trees to protect them they get damaged by the fierce sun in Summer. The spray from my hose will only just reach the tallest one. So far so good………… no one dies on my watch!

I love those little surprises. You get home you download your shots and the ones you think are going to be great are not always the ones you keep.
In the old days I had to wait until I’d develop the film and then print it out. At lest now I can find my turkeys and gems in double quick time.
