Busker’s Festival Belgrave 2014 {25 Photos}

I did a post about a year ago on the BBF. One year on and it was promoted very badly. The weather didn’t help and both the crowds and performer numbers were down, and I was not feeling too well but ……… despite all that I got a ‘few good shots’ [25 in all] if you have the patience then go on and have a look.

  1. This is just the kind of thing I enjoy, and know there is a reasonable chance of getting hold of some unhealthy snack which just makes the whole thing more enjoyable. In Londinium the problem we have is the weather is so unreliable that one year it might be a brilliant end entertaining festival held in sunshine and the next be marked by the presence of a couple of disconsolate guitarists watching the rain pelt down.

    • That almost happened this year, but the ‘rain’ came in the form of poor organisation. Last year was the first year and it was a big success. I guess the organisers found out how much hard work was involved and did as little as possible. Shame really, it’s a good idea. See what happens next year.
      Thanks for the comment.
      Belgrave has a new once a month market and I went along last Saturday [blinding sunshine and a blinding migraine] and got a few shots. Excellent junkfood and some pretty girls but my reflexes were such that I missed a lot of good shots.

    • I wondered if it would catch anyone’s eye.
      Amazingly, given our past history, we take alcohol related issues very seriously. Which just goes to show that given enough time and a firm resolve, anything can be changed.

  2. Thank you for your visit. Your photos of the Belgrave Buskers Festival are lovely. I have fond memories of Melbourne having lived and worked there for several years. Loved the Dandenongs and have frequently visited the area and enjoyed the views, afternoon teas and especially the gardens! You have a varied and interesting blog. Kind regards, Iris.
